One of the newer brands in the makeup world I hear talked about more and more on set amongst artists is Lime Crime. I was first introduced to their line by a client that wanted to use her own favorite lipstick by Lime Crime. I was super impressed with the pigment and staying power. I used a Velvetines shade on my client for a red carpet event and her lips stayed on perfectly all night….and into the morning. She was thrilled. I was thrilled. My favorite opaque lipstick by Lime Crime is Retrofuturist- a bright true red. Suedeberry, a matte coral red, is my favorite of the Velvetines which is a liquid that dries totally matte for ultra long wear. There is a lot more Lime Crime that I plan to explore. If you haven’t yet explored this innovative new makeup line- they are vegan and cruelty free. Explore their entire line HERE.

Since receiving a sample of Colorescience Skin Calming Face Primer I have wanted to apply this on everyone that sits in my chair. It takes down redness immediately and provides the perfect platform for makeup. I’ve never seen anything take down redness like this. It contains SPF 20, a number of antioxidants, cucumber and cactus extracts that serve to create calm, smooth, and hydrated skin. It is a magical first step prior to makeup application if you suffer from any redness inducing skin sensitivity. Learn more HERE.

On the Sheswai Lacquer website you are greeted immediately with the gorgeous logo- “Sheswai Lacquer…..modern glamour with a rootsy feel.” It’s a perfect description for the feel of this brand. I love to discover products with a conscience. I really care about the intention behind the brand. The lovely founder of Sheswai Lacquer is Debbie Leavitt- a Southern California born and raised, eco-focused, celebrity manicurist that works with the biggest names in fashion & film. Even before I realized that she was an artist with my agency, Cloutier Remix, I was in love with her Sheswai Lacquer. Sheswai Lacquer has an enchanting collection of colors housed in the most beautifully designed, eye catching packaging- gorgeous gold graphics and sustainably harvested wood handles. No polish bottle has ever inspired me more to want to paint my nails. I have so many Sheswai Lacquer favorites.

Honeyfox, seen here, is one of my all time favorite reds….

Sheswai Lacquer is cruelty-free and does not contain formaldehyde, toluene and DBP’s.

This beloved California brand evokes natural beauty & sunshine and will inspire a strong desire to wear sandals in a snowstorm. Learn more about the brand here.
